Hi Simon:
Thank you for posting here.
>From the description, I understand that you want to publish the port 2368,
59101 and 6320 from the XP client to the internet. If I am off base, please
feel free to let me know.
First could you tell me what the three ports are in aid of? Can I assume
that the internet computers access some applications or web services on
this XP client via the port 2368, 59101 and 6320?
Here, I would like to provide the detailed steps of publishing the port
from client to the internet.
The following steps is for publishing port 2368, you can perform the same
steps to publish the other ports.
1. Open 'Server Management', navigate to 'To Do List' and click 'Connect to
the Internet'. Re-run CEICW Wizard and when you configure the firewall
options, select 'Enable Firewall', click add button, input a service name
and select
TCP (If not, please select UDP), fill in port 2368, inbound. Follow the
instruction finish the wizard.
More information about CEICW Wizard:

2003
http://support.microsoft.com/?id=825763
2. Open the RRAS console from administrative tools -> Routing and remote
access, expand IP routing, select NAT/basic firewall, right click on
Network connection in the right frame, select properties, on the services
and ports tab, select the service that you just added in the CEICW, click
edit, change the private address to the IP address of the client XP.
3. Meanwhile, please check the networking settings of the internal client
XP. Make sure that the default gateway of the client is pointing to the
internal IP address of the SBS Server. Please also make sure the
corresponding ports are configured to forward to the external NIC of the
SBS Server on the router.
After that, once a request from internet is sent to the external NIC of the
SBS Server on port 2368, it will be redirected to the internal XP client by
the RRAS.
If it doesn't work, you can try to place a laptop directly connected to the
external NIC of the SBS Server. You can connect the external network
adapter of the SBS Server to a simple hub and connect the client to the
same hub. Manually configure the TCP/IP settings on the client computer to
be on the same subnet as the external network adapter of the SBS Server.
Then try accessing the internal XP client again, does it work now?
Hope the above information helps. Please feel free to let me know if
anything is unclear.
Have a nice day! :)
Best Regards
Edward Tian(MSFT)

| Hello,
|
| I'm trying to publish ports 2368, 59101 and 6320 from a client XP out to
the
| internet. But I can't see these ports at the external IP of the SBServer
or
| from the internert. They are active on the client PC
|
| The server has internal ip 192.168.16.2 external ip 192.168.0.100 default
| gateway 192.168.0.1 (which is a netgear router DG834GT adsl router)
|
| The server is running routing and remote access with bacic firewall and
NAT
| enabled.
|
| Ports 2368 59101 and 6320 have been added to "Services and Ports" on the
| external interface of the NAT/Basic Firewall in routing and remote access
and
| the ports have been set with private address 192.168.16.8
|
| I've defined the ports as services on the router and added them as
inbound
| and outbound rules i've also set 192.168.0.100 as a DMZ at the router.
|
| I can't see the ports from outside the network or on the external network
| address of the server..
|
| Help..
|
| How do I publish these Ports..
|
| Thanks in Advance..
