Re: NDR appear when sending mails to branch offices

Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry

Just had a similar problem myself, Im hoping its caused by the fact
that the SBS server thinks its dealing with the mail for company.com
(etc). [set under recipient policys]

So when a head office user sends mail the server cannot find the
branch user in its AD and gives an NDR, it never leaves the system to
be sorted by the ISP.

A work around I have used is to have a catch all account with the ISP,
create the branch users on the server and then setup the branches to
come in and collect from exchange with POP3.

Not sure its the best way as the branches obviously have a pst file and
mail isnt backed up in the mailboxes etc. They do get virus scanned
though by the server (plus point !?)
