RE: Please help, random e-mail replies are rejected

Hi Mark,

Thanks for your update and so detailed information.

For the error symbol, I much suspect the issue is from the setting in
remote domain. I am afraid you may need to contact the remote server
administrator for more information. If you would like me to work together
with remote server administrator, feel free to let me know. It is always my
pleasure to provide assistance. If Exchange Server is also being used in
remote server, you can ask him to try Telnet your mail server by the
article below from his mail server, and verify the issue. To send email
using telnet:

- Open command prompt, type telnet SMTP_IP_Address 25 and press enter.
- Type helo and enter.
- Type mail from: yourname@xxxxxxxxxx and enter.
- Type rcpt to: recipient@xxxxxxxxxx and enter.
- Type data and enter.
- Type subject: test and enter.
- Type enter twice.
- Type . and enter.

For more information about this, you can refer to the following KB:

XFOR: Telnet to Port 25 to Test SMTP Communication

Hope this helps. If there is anything I can do, feel free to let me know.

Thanks and have a nice day!

Best regards,

Jerry Zhao (MSFT)
