| HI,
|
| Welcome to SBS newsgroup.
|
| Issue description:
| ============
| I understand that you encountered access is denied when access the
dial-in
| tab.
|
| Analyzing and suggestions:
| =============
|
| I understand that you have already checked the registry permission, here
I
| would like to let you follow the KB article below to double confirm it,
as
| I know the permission is relate to local services account, not the
| administrator account. Please refer to the article below:
|
| 842695 You may receive an error message when you try to open the Dial-in
tab
| http://support.microsoft.com/?id=842695
|
| If the permission is set correctly, please also check the following
| registry to see if it set correctly:
|
| HKLM\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Control\SecurePipeServers\winreg
| HKLM\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Control\SecurePipeServers\winreg\AllowedPaths
|
| The local services should also have read permission.
|
| I appreciate your understand and effort on this issue, please post your
| results back as your convenience. It's my pleasure to be of assistance.
|
|
|
| Best regards,
|

| | I am running a 2003 sbs server i have all the latest updates. Its fully
| | patched.
| | When ever I go into aduc and go to the properties of a user and try to
| | access the Dial-in tab i recieve "could not load the dial in profile:
| | access is denied"
| | I tried creating a new user that was strictly in the domain admins
| | group and logging on as him and when I tried to access that user's and
| | other user's dial in proile and recieved the same error.
| | I have tried restarting the remote registry service, and checking the
| | permissions on
| | HKLM\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Control\SecurePipeServers\winreg
| |
HKLM\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Control\SecurePipeServers\winreg\AllowedPaths
| | the LOCAL SERVICE did READ permission on both keys.
| | I think that it comes back down to DCOM issues if anyone can help i
| | would appriciate it.
