RE: After Exchange 2003 Crash have only offline copy of mdbdata folder

Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry

Keep in mind that if the database you are using is in a dirty shutdown state
the recovery option will not work after the reapir option has been used.
While Eseutil will report no errors, there will still remain the issue of the
file signitures. This can be corrected by running Eseutil in the repair mode
with the /g switch as it will replace the file signitures "eseutil /p <path
and database name> /g". If the signiture problem persists run Eseutil using
the /i switch "eseutil /p <full path and database name> /i" . Even after you
have completed this the store will not mount because the database and
streaming file signitures are correct but no longer match the log files. If
you delete or remove all files with the log extension the database should
creat a new E00.log file and mount. The downside is all information in the
log files that has not been written to the database will be lost so keep a
back up of everything before taking these steps. After you are able to mount
the database you will want to run isinteg using the format of "isinteg -s
<server> -fix -test alltests" to correct any errors with in the database
tables.
