Re: SBS 2003 Premium, Sharepoint, CRM

Hi Andrew,

Thanks for your reply.

Due to the complexity of this issue, we are unable to assist with this
request in the newsgroups. You may need to contact CSS for the help.

A suggestion would be to contact Microsoft Product Support Services via
telephone so that a dedicated Support Professional can assist with your
request. Please be advised that contacting phone support will be a charged
call. However, if you are simply requesting a hotfix be sent to you and no
other support then charges are usually refunded or waived.

To obtain the phone numbers for specific technology request please take a
look at the web site listed below.

http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=fh;EN-US;PHONENUMBERS

If you are outside the US please see http://support.microsoft.com for
regional support phone numbers.

Thanks for your understanding and I look forward to your reply.

Best regards,

| Thanks for the documents, that helps.
|
| I think I will install CRM on the SBS box with SQL 2000. I will leave
ISA
| for a later configuration.
|
| In regards to MOM, this will be a SBS 2003 SP1 box, so can MOM workgroup
| server and database be installed on the box or not?
|
| In regards my www website, can I host this on the SBS Box alongside the
| companyweb and Default Website and assign port 80 to this website or will
| this affect companyweb? Can I assign an additional IP to the SBS
Internal
| NIC like 192.168.1.2 and have port 80 forward here since I do not access
the
| company web externally via 80, only 444?
|
| On accessing the company web externally, currently I have to go to
| https://fqdn:444 to get to the login prompt. How can I make it just
| https://fqdn/companyweb like I do for exchange?
|
| In regards to Sharepoint Portal server, it looks like it would be best to
| put that on a completely different server than the SBS and TS entirely,
| correct, or can I still install it on the TS box? How would I then
forward
| https://fqdn/sharepoint or without SSL to the website on the TS box.
|
| In regards to the dual NICs and the external firewall (which effectively
| gives me dual firewalls), would the following be an appropriate IP
| configuration:
|
| WatchGuard Firewall
| -----------------------
| External Network Configuration - Static IP
| (IP, SUB, GW, DNS - info provided by ISP)
|
| Trusted Network Configuration
| IP 192.168.0.1
| SUB 255.255.255.0
|
| Port Forwarding
| 25 SMTP, 443 SSL, 444 CWEB, 1723/47/500 PPTP VPN, 4125 RWW to 192.168.0.2
| (external NIC on SBS)
|
| SBS Box
| -----------------------
| External NIC Configuration - Static IP
| IP 192.168.0.2
| SUB 255.255.255.0
| GW 192.168.0.1 (trusted network IP of WG firewall)
| DNS Provided by ISP
|
| Internal NIC Configuration - Static IP
| IP 192.168.1.1
| SUB 255.255.255.0
| GW - Would itself (192.168.1.1) be the GW or (192.168.0.2) the IP address
of
| the External NIC?
| DNS 192.168.1.1 then the ISP DNS?
|
| Any other suggestions for me? I have installed many SBS 2003 Standard
with
| single NIC and firewall without any issues, just not dual NIC with
firewall.
|
| Thanks,
|
| Andrew
