RE: email "from" setting

Hello Ann,

Thank you for posting in the SBS newsgroup.

Also, many thanks for Matt's great input.

To narrow down this issue, please perform the following steps:

1. If you just would like to reset the user's display name in the from
field, and don't change its reply-to email address, please use the Server
Management console to change the user name.

To do so:

1) Open Server Management.
2) Click Users node.
3) In the right pane, select the user, right click it, and click Rename
User.
4) Give a new user name to the user (e.g. company name), and click OK.

2. If you also would like to reset the user's reply-to email address,
please perform the following steps:

1) Open Server Management.
2) Click Users node.
3) In the right pane, select the user, right click it, and select
Properties.
4) Click E-mail Addresses tab, un-click the 'Automatically update e-mail
addresses based on recipient policy' option, then click New.
5) Select SMTP Address, then click OK, type the appropriate E-mail address
(e.g. companyname@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx), then click OK.
6) Highlight the new created email address, then click Set As Primary
button.

3. Alternatively, you can use the 'Send As' function to achieve this goal,
to do so, please create a new user account (e.g. companyname), then gather
the 'Send As' permission for the 'email' user account:

I appreciate your time and cooperation. If anything is unclear, please feel
free to let me know. I am looking forward to hearing from you.

Best regards,
