RE: How to re-install default available client applications

Hello Howard,

Thank you for posting back!

I understand that you did not install the Microsoft Outlook 2003 at the
server setup. If I have misunderstood your concern, please let me know.

In this case, we need to install the Microsoft Outlook 2003 on your server
first, then use the command to assign it to client workstations. Actually,
all the steps were being listed in my previous reply. I would like to list
again. Please see:

1. On the SBS 2K3 Server, go to Control Panel -> Add or Remove Programs ->
Change or Remove Programs -> Windows Small Business Server 2003. Click
Change/Remove.

2. Run the Microsoft Windows Small Business Server Setup Wizard.

3. Proceed to the page of Component Selection, select Action as Maintenance
for Server Tools, Action as Maintenance for Client Deployment. Expand
Client Deployment, select Action as Install for Microsoft Office Outlook
2003.

4. Finish rest of the wizard. Now Microsoft Outlook 2003 has being
installed on your server, and we continue assigning it to client
workstations.

5. Expand to Server Management\Standard Management\Client Computers. On the
right pane, click Assign Application to Client Computers. Run the Assign
Application Wizard.

6. Proceed to the Page of Client Applications, click Edit Applications. You
are in the Set Up Client Applications Wizard.

7. Proceed to the page of Available Applications, click Add.

8. In the blank under Location of setup executable for this application,
type the following command:

"\\Yourdomain\ClientApps\Outlook2003\setup.exe"
Transforms="\\Yourdomain\Clients\Setup\sbsdefault.mst" /qn
Reboot=ReallySuppress /wait INSTRALLLOCATION="%location%" /Lv
"%temp%\verbose.log".

9. Finish rest of the Set Up Client Applications Wizard and the Assign
Application Wizard.

10. Test whether Microsoft Outlook 2003 has being assigned to Client
workstations.

Hope this information helps. If you have any further questions or concerns,
please feel free to let me know. I am looking forward to hearing from you!

Best regards,

Brandy Nee
