Re: WINS 4204 Every 40 Minutes

Hi,

I do understand your concern, and it is really frustrated.

I have performed a lot of research, and I have found that we may prevent
WINS server from sending the multicast packages by modifying the following
registry keys:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Services\WINS\Parameters]

McastIntvl = 0X0FFFFFFF
UseSelfFndPnrs = 1

Note that the path of the key has been changed from CurrentControlSet to
ControlSet001, and the two values data are all changed.

Hope this helps, and I look forward to hearing from you. Thank you for
your time and it is my pleasure to work with you on this issue!

Have a nice day!
