|
| I have experienced a number of problems with my Windows SBS 2003
| installation. Various errors were being reported, from Routing and
Remote
| Access (with "class not registered") to no icons appearing in my Network
| Connections. I finally repaired my Windows SBS 2003 installation from
the
| CDs and this at least allowed my Network Connections to reappear but I
cannot
| run various wizards to configure the system.
|
| Firstly, I tried to launch the Windows SBS 2003 setup from Add/Remove
| programs. This tries to load the 40 components but when it gets to
component
| 25 it reports a Run Time Error and then refuses to continue.
|
| I also cannot get the Internet and Email connection wizard to run. It
| constantly fails on the Network Configuration. When running the wizard,
I am
| trying to configure a broadband connection with 2 NIC cards. When it
| displays the NIC cards I am unable to select my NIC cards from the list
| (since the lists are empty). Are there any log files stored on disk that
I
| can refer to that will allow me to diagnose these problems?
|
| I then tried to apply Windows 2003 SP1 but this also failed during the
| installation. Once again, are there log files I can use to diagnose the
| failure?
|
