RE: DCOM Event 10021 after upgrade SBS2K to SBS2K3



Edward,

When I checked those settings you described, they were already checked, so I
guess that is not the problem. Note that the text of my error in the Event
log is different from that given in the article you referred to.

I did originally have McAfee VirusScan and Groupshield running, but
uninstalled these before the upgrade, and have not tried too install them
back yet. Perhaps it is because the antivirus is missing that the errors
occur?

I am starting to think I might be better to do a swing upgrade and install
SBS2003 from scratch and port the info over to the new install. I am wasting
so much time rebuilding and restesting. If I don't inplace upgrade I am just
worried about all those settings that have not been documented properly that
might be hard to find and reconfigure. What is the recommended method,
inplace or new?
