Tibor? Opening up a router hole on a fully patched system has no effects.
Make sure you patch this with the latest service pack and what not.
443 - secure access 4125 - control port
Really that's it. you don't need VPN.

Hi all,
I am trying to setup Remote Access for a user on SBS 2003, so that they can login from home / remotely and access their Exchange inbox, shared documents etc. on the Server.
The last time I set this up though, I opened up something in the Router which allowed something nasty on the net to reboot the server every few minutes.
Please could somebody advise me as to:
1) what needs to be opened / enabled / disabled on the Broadband Router (Planet)
2) what exactly needs to be setup in SBS 2003 to allow remote access
3) does the server require dyndns / no-ip to broadcast its external IP, or is there a way I can broadcast the FQDN as an internet address?
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!
Kind Regards,
Tibor Szabo
