Front Page and VPN Performance issues

Hi,

I'm running SBS2003 on a fast server that is underutilized. I have client
machines that have front page 2003 installed. The performance in our office
if fine. However, when I access my server using VPN with re-mapped drives,
the performance is horrible. Windows Explorer responds back to me in a
couple of seconds which is very good for the size of our directory. Front
Page, reading the same directory, takes so long to display the directory that
it is useless. Any ideas?
