Thanks for your quick response Brandy
Okay...
Response for #1 Yes, I moved the data well before the SP1 was applied. I
moved the data following the KB article that you mentioned. Exchange files,
user folders, companyweb and sql databases were all moved.
#2 The server is sbs2K3 standard edition. I knew it failed install because
the sql update would not run. I have zipped the files and I tried sending to
you, but the email was bounced without an error code from your server. the
2b file zipped is 3mb and the 2c file is 300kb.
#3 Yes offer remote assistance worked perfectly and I used it quite a
bit...I just now have gotten around to trying to fix it.
To be honest, it seems that several services have been adversely affected
since I installed SP1...help svc and files were deleted, VPN has ceased to
work, backup fails more often than it use to, RRAS deletes public IP address
range and reservations each night...the list seems to be getting longer each
day. I wish there was an easy way to just reformat the whole box and start
all over again...but my fear is that I won't be able to safely reinstall the
user data, e-mails and other program functions back.
