RE: mail relay problems setting up



Hi Brandy,

Testing with telent results as follows:-

telnet mail.btopenworld.com 25
response as follows
"220 smtp807.mail.ukl.yahoo.com ESMTP"

"EHLO test.com"
response as follows:-
"250-smtp800.mail.ukl.yahoo.com"
"250-AUTH LOGIN PLAIN XYMCOOKIE"
"250-PIPELINING"
"250 8BITMIME"

MAIL FROM:admin@xxxxxxxx
response as follows:-
"530 Authentication required - Your email could not be sent. To fix this you
must make a simple change to your email (known as SMTP authentication). For
advice visit www.yahoo.com/smtp"

This is the error message I have seen in the SNTPSVC1 log files.

I have sent the requested log files to your mailbox.
