Hi Jenny et all!
I have a similar/sort of relate issue.
I was well aware of the NEVER INSTALL OUTLOOK ON AN SBS SERVER golden
rule,... and I hunted and hunted to find an easy way of setting up a MAPI
profile for SQL Agent to use. I managed to set it up using NEWPROF, and I
actually then verfied it using Profman2. All good,... great,...
however......
SQL Agent does not display my new profile in the drop down list.
The Agent is definately logging in as Administrator,... which is where the
profile was created too.
The Profile is there under Profman2... just not under SQL Agent.
I have restarted services,... done everything I could think of,. to no evail.
SQL Agent does display a profile in its drop down list,... but it is not one
that I created,.. and it does not work.
If I manually type in my newly created profile name, and click the test
button, it says success... but then it fails if I try to sned a test message
to my operator.
Your assistance in this would be GREATLY appreciated!!
Mark.
