RE: ISA 2004 stops AOL web usage

Dear Dodge:
Thank you for your quick update!
One thing I should clarify is that though we suggest customer install FW
client on all the client computers, we may have to temporarily disable it
when you want to use AOL because there is something incompatible with ISA
firewall client and AOL application. It's a known problem since we have
experienced several similar issues. I appreciate your understanding on it!
Look forward to hearing how it goes. Please feel free to let me know if you
have further questions or concerns.
Have a nice day!
Best Regards
Edward Tian(MSFT)

| Hi Edward, thanks for the thoughtful and informative repsonse. Answers to
| your questions are below. I did try the Technet work through and did not
have
| success. I will try adding your other New Access Rule and report back.
|
| The Firewall client is installed on all computers (except server). (Is
this
| best practice/recommended? Is so, what is best practice for allowing a
| visitor/guest internet access... previously they could grab an ethernet
| cable, get an IP via DHCP and at least get on the internet - now -
nothing!)
|
| Browsing though Internet Explorer is just fine.
|
| This AOL not being able to use it's internal web browser issue exists on
all
| client computers.
