A Few Questions about Group Policy

Tech-Archive recommends: Repair Windows Errors & Optimize Windows Performance

There are some specific settings that I want to push to the users through Group Policy but I have no idea how to do this (if it shouldn't be done through group policy, let me know as well)

1. I'd like for every User when they log on to have certain shares mapped under my computer
2. I'd also like for every User to be given the printer shares, I've figured out to do this by machine, but user would be nice to know as well.
3. Is there a way to push settings to a users computer to configure windows XP for an always on VPN connection for exchange (I forgot the name for this)

I have to set up a bunch of computers and knowing some of these things would save me a lot of time. Thank you, I really appreciate any help!
