HI Carlos,
Welcome to SBS newsgroup.
Issue description:
=============
Before we go any further, can I assume that you have installed SBS 2003 on
a laptop and you encountered some problem.
Analyzing and suggestions:
=============
Generally speaking, if this issue occur on the laptop even after reinstall,
we need to gather more information to troubleshooting this issue:
1. Please run eventvwr on command line to collect event view error and
paste them to newsgroup.
2. Is there any third party services running on SBS 2003, please temporally
stop them to see if the issue can be resolved?
3. If possible, please change the laptop harddisk to another new laptop for
a test to see if the issue still exist or not?
4. Please logon the system in safe mode, this will isolate if the issue is
caused by the Windows non OS services or third party services.
If the problem occur on Windows 2003 standard or enterprise server, it is
your best interest to post in Windows 2003 server newsgroup, as we deal
mainly on SBS server which is different with Windows 2003 server, as your
convenience, I would like to give you some information about that newsgroup:

| I've Windows Server 2003 SP1 installed on a 1GB RAM
| laptop, updated and protected with Scan Antivirus and Microsoft
Antispyware.
| Recently, I've been experimented a strange behaviour on my laptop, which
| start occurring suddenly: when I minimize a window, my laptop blocks for a
| few seconds, apparently accessing the disk, because the disk led light
keeps
| on during this period, without flickering (like it does in a regular data
| accessing operation). The mouse works but any running task seems to block.
| Even if I start an application, it doesn't open before the blocking period
| ends. I reinstalled the laptop. At the beginning, it didn't happen at all,
| but suddenly the problem is back. It seems to be something with the file
| system (any driver, for instance) and/or the disk. But if it was the disk,
| it would behave the same way in other occasions, than minimizing windows.
Is
| it a windows system issue? Does anybody know what this is? Thanks!
