HI Rossoco,
Thanks for updates.
>From your description, I understand that after you remove the external NIC
of TS box then reinstall it, you could not access the Terminal server from
any of the client except the client inside the lan.
In order to make the issue more clear, I suggest you first follow my
suggestion in my previous reply to perform tests, we need to know if you
can access the external NIC of the TS box from the SBS box, because from
your description, we only know you can access the TS box from the LAN
clients, we are clear you can only access the internal NIC of TS box or
external NIC of TS box from LAN clients. Please also perform tests to see
if you connect a client to the router directly then connect to the external
NIC of the TS box, does the issue exist or not.
Please understand if you put the external NIC to router directly, ISA 2004
will not control this external NIC at all. So we might also check the
configuration of the router to make sure it works well.
In addition, in my previous reply I also give you some suggestion on TS
box, you can also remove the external NIC of TS box and put the TS box back
inside domain to see if the issue can be resolve or not.
Please perform the tests above, these tests are very important to solve the
issue. I will be here waiting for your updates.
Best regards,
Charles Yang (MSFT)

| Hi Charles,
| Thanks for the input. I have obviously not explained the problem at
| well though so let me try to clarify my problem.
|
| I can connect to rdp on the ts box on either the internal 192. network
| or the external 10. network with no problems at all from anywhere on
| the LAN. from the SBS box to the ts box is no problems at all. from
| any client on the LAN to the TS box (int or ext nic) no problems.
|
| I can connect from the remote site via the router to router vpn, to the
| external (10.0.0.1) nic of the SBS box no problems.
|
| I cannot (since the upgrade) connect from the remote site via the vpn
| to the external or internal nic of the TS box. we could before and
| nothing other than the sp1/ISA 2004 upgrade has changed. This is what
| I need to do but ...
|
| I rang microsoft tech support who told me it was a problem with the
| routers vpn despite the fact they have not changed but the sp1/isa2004
| bit is the only thing to have changed.
|
| As an update, now when when I remove the nic and re install I can not
| connect to the external nic on the TS box from anywhere except on the
| Local LAN directly connected.
|
| Hope that explains a little better.
|
| Any help is greatly appreciated and desperately needed
|
| Rossco
