HI ,
Thanks for posting here.
>From your description, I understand that only some of the user disconnected
with the domain. But it just could not find the domain, but you could ping
other non Windows server and get to the internet.
As I know, this issue might relate with DNS and AD on the server side as
some of the user could not locate the domain controller on SBS domain, in
order to make the issue more clear, we may need to gather some log files
for troubleshooting.
1. Before we troubleshooting, please make sure that you have configured DNS
setting on client computer point to SBS internal server and you did not
configure any additional DNS server at the TCP/IP properties of client
computer.
If possible, please paste the IPconfig /all on the client side and server
side.
2. Does this issue occur only to some special user or to some special
client computer, if you logon the problematic client with the user without
any problem does the issue exist or not?
3. Please gather the following log files:
WinLogon log (you can find it at Windows_folder \Security\Logs)
NetLogon log (you can find it in %Windir%\Debug) You can run Nltest.exe to
enable the netlogon log.
You can send the log files and information to my email
v-chayan@xxxxxxxxxxxxx
Thanks for your effort, I will be here waiting for your updates. Please
feel free to use this newsgroup.
Best regards,
Charles Yang (MSFT)
