Hello Sean,
Thank you for posting to the SBS Newsgroup.
I understand that you have a laptop and always travel between two SBS
domains which have exact the same server name. You want to know how to stop
synchronize the offline folder when you are in one of the domain2. If I
have misunderstood your concern, please let me know.
I have performed a lot of research and testing, and the best way is
configure some setting in the Group Policy on the SBS 2K3 server. To do so,
please see:
[Note]: I assume that you are the Domain 1 client and the laptop is Domain
1 computer.
1. Go to the SBS 2K3 server in Domain 1.
2. Expand to Group Policy Management\Forest\Domains\Yourdomain.local\Group
Policy Objects\Small Business Server Folder Redirection.
3. Click Small Business Server Folder Redirection.
4. On the right pane, click Delegation tab.
5. You will find there are some Groups and users listed under the
Delegation tab. You need to highlight each of the Groups/Users and click
Properties, go to Member tab to find out what Groups you belong to and
remove it.
6. Go to Start -> Run "gpupdate" (without quotation marks). Next time when
you login the laptop, the Folder Redirection Group Policy will not apply to
your laptop.
Hope this information helps. If anything is unclear, please feel free to
let me know. I am looking forward to hearing from you!
Best regards,
Brandy Nee
