no external web server with dns www host sbs2000
Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry
Hello,
I've run across a problem and can't seem to find another instance of it
happening. This sbs 2000 server has been running for quite a while and I
know the settings are correct, nothing changed, but recently can not his
www.company.com from inside the network. DNS forward zone has a www host
record with the external IP of the webserver. NSLOOKUP brings back correct
ip, can ping the site by name, and bring back the correct IP. I have
removed the host record and re-added it. Not sure what is going on and
wondered if anyone else had had this issue.
TIA
BJ
