| Hi James,
|
| Welcome to SBS newsgroup.
|
| Issue description:
|
| ============
|
| I understand that when try to setup a web shared folder, you encountered
| some problem to access the web folder without enable anonymous access.
|
| Analyzing and suggestions:
|
| ============
|
| I also reproduce your steps and create a web sharing folder on default
| website. I found no matter you enable or disable anonymous access, you
will
| be able to access it the web shard folder. Please refer to my suggestion
| below:
|
| 1. Can I assume that you create the web sharing folder on a new created
| website not any internal website of SBS, if so please make sure except
| anonymous access you have also enable Window integrate authentication on
| this website.
| 2. If possible, please also test if you can create a web sharing folder
on
| default website of SBS 2003. You can just make a new folder on SBS server
| and put the web pages on that folder to see if the folder can be access
via
| this method.
| 3. Does this occur on internal clients or internet clients, please try
from
| internal client to see if the issue can be clear.
| 4. Please also test if you can access the web folder via http://server ip
| address/folder name.
|
| If the issue still exists, please describe the steps you create a web
| sharing folder to me, so that I can make some deep research.
|
| I appreciate your time to perform tests, if you have any concerns, please
| feel free to let me know. I will be here waiting for your updates.

| | I am trying to setup a web shared folder, I have granted access on the
IP
| | address and domain name restrictions tab, I do not have allow anonymous
| | access on. I have the folder permissions set appropriately. When I try
to
| | access the page I receive a "the page cannot be displayed" message. If
I
| | allow anonymous access I can access the page fine.
| |
| | I have done this several times with SBS2000 is there something I'm
| missing
| | on SBS2k3?
| |
| | thanks for any help
