Having the synchronisation enabled has caused us some few problems -
errors were occurring and sometimes, large files took a very long time.
Indeed it may have its benefits but I would stick to
\\servername\users\username\my docs with a mapping to H:\ or something
like.

We have disabled synchronisation when working online on the network.
