Hello John,
Thank you for posting in the SBS newsgroup.
First of all, please answer the below questions to narrow down this issue:
1. As you mentioned, "I have Outlook 2003 on my SBS 2003 box", for SBS
2003 Server, an administrative installation of Outlook 2003 is installed at
the server, you can find these files in the
%systemroot%\ClientApps\outlook2003 folder, we can run the Set Up Computer
Wizard or Assign Applications Wizard to deploy the Outlook 2003 to all
clients of the SBS 2003 Server. In addition, please don't install Outlook
2003 client software on SBS 2003 box due to the presence of Exchange 2003.
Outlook 2003 can never be installed on an Exchange Server 2003 computer due
to its architecture. It will cause conflicts with Exchange 2003 as its
components are designed for client side and Exchange 2003 are using server
side components.
2. As you mentioned, "I have told it to update everybody's Outlook", can
I assume you would like to deploy the Outlook 2003 to all clients of the
SBS 2003 Server? If you have installed the SBS 2003 SP1, the SBS 2003 SP1
contains the Outlook 2003 SP1, by default, the Outlook 2003 SP1 will
automatically install when you restart the client workstation after you
installed the SBS 2003 SP1.
3. As you mentioned, "It has done any", if the all process has done
successfully, your clients can configure the Outlook account of the
Exchange 2003 Server. If it failed, please kindly describe the exact
problem symptom.
I am appreciated your time and cooperation. If anything is unclear, please
feel free to let me know. I am looking forward to hearing from you.
Best regards,
Nathan Liu (MSFT)
