Dear Members of the Forum:
I presenlty use SBS 2003 in my small business. It has been installed with
ISA 2004 SP1. The OWA and outlook connection over HTTP are working fine. I
tried to sync my Treo 650 with ActiveSync using VersaMail and am having a
problems connecting to the server. Below is information on my setup:
Local Domain: myserver.domain.local
SBS runs on myserver
My Email is hosted by my ISP, therefore my mail.domain.com points to my isp.
I have a subdomain pointing to my ISA server. The ISA server uses a
certificate published by it. Which my treo does not recognize. I am not
sure but i think i cannot store a certificate on my treo 650.
Can i still connect to the Exchange server using SSL? Or should i be using
a proxy server as ISA is installed. When VersaMail asks for the exchange
server name would it be the following: myserver.domain.local? If i use the
proxy server should i provide the URL pointing to it for the proxy server
name?
I did check out a couple of threads on this topic in this forum and have
confirmed that the authentication is set correctly in the default web
folders, especifically in Exchange.oma and oma.
Can someone help me out with this. i do not want to have to purchase a
third party server to install to be able to sync one treo 650. I am not able
to pick up my email from my isp as the exchange server picks it up using a
pop connector. The outgoing emails go out of my exchange server.
Thanks in advance for your help.
