Hell Ben,
Thank you for posting back.
To configure the Port and Listening port, please see my following example:
I assume that you have installed the web site on the IIS MMC already.
1. Click Advanced.
2. In the IP address blank, select an IP address from the list box that you
want to associate with this web site. Only IP addresses that have been
defined on this computer, using Control Panel, appear in the IP Address
List box. If you do not assign a specific IP address, this Web Site
responds to all IP address assigned to this computer that are assigned to
other Web Sites.
3. In the TCP port blank. It determines that the TCP port on which the WWW
service is running. The default port is 80 and is reserved for Default Web
Site and Companyweb. You need to change the port to any unique TCP port
number. However, to connect to your server, clients must know in advance to
request that port number.
4. In the Host Header value blank, you can assign multiple host names, also
referred to as domain names, to one computer using a single IP address, to
one computer using a single IP address. If the Web Site requested in the
host header is stopped, the client receives the default Web site.
Therefore, ISPs should set the default Web site as the ISP home page,
rather than a customer site.
5. After you have configured the TCP port and Host header, click OK twice.
6. Start -> Run "dnsmgmt.msc" (without quotation marks).
7. Expand to Domain\Forward Lookup Zones\Yourdomain.local.
8. Right click in the right pane, and select New Alias (CNAME).
9. Input the Alias name (for example, the Web site you named is Test) and
the FQDN. Click OK.
As I mentioned in the previous reply, you still need to check whether the
Web site allows you to listen on the other TCP port rather than 80, and
whether it will work if you create a Host Header.
Hope this information helps. If anything is unclear, please feel free to
let me know. I am looking forward to hearing from you!
Best regards,
Brandy Nee
