Actually, I had a further problem at the end of the installation where the
RAID controller decided one of the disks in the array disappeared.
I have since found, courtesy of Andrew Hodgsons post on 8 May, that I have
been using old drivers after all. For some reason, I had only checked for
updated drivers on the MSI web site, not the Intel web site. With the new
drivers, v5.1.0.1022, I do not need to make the disk Dynamic and everything
works as I would have expected it to.
