I'll also chip in.
Plan on installing the server at least three times to familiarise yourself
with setup and config.
RAID (minimum RAID1) should not be considered as an option, it is necessary.
UPS sits in the same boat. Clean shutdown of the server in a power outage is
the main reason but also having clean power during normal operation is
highly desirable, so you want an UPS which actively filters during normal
operation.
There is no reason why your AD DNS name should be in any way related to your
public namespace, it is used solely within the AD and naming the same as
your public namespace is a common cause of errors. I use .lan more commonly
these days because Mac OS and some versions of Linux handle .local in an
unusual manner.
TRUST THE WIZARDS. The SBS dev team didn't put all that work in for nothing.
The wizards allow consistent change of many related components.
