It's hard to say why VPN is failing without more info, including the network
configuration. One possibility is that the routers on both ends have to
have PPTP pass-through (or protocol GRE47) enabled. Are you getting a
password prompt when you attempt to connect over VPN?
Look in the FAQ section at http://www.sbsfaq.com/default.aspx for a
comparison of VPN and RWW security. We've allowed only VPN remote access up
until now, and I cringe every time I think of someone's kid loading kazaa on
the home PC. Ever had a user say "my home AV subscription ran out a few
months ago and I think I should have renewed it sooner?" I'm planning the
switch to RWW.
