Hi Brandy
many thanks for getting back to me i will try and answer your questions
firstly i dont really know allot about windows 2003 server but am trying my
best to get through it :)
1 our intranet connects to several access databases we dont get an asp
error on the page as such it just acts slow from time to time, i thought this
was mainly to do with the amount of people using it, i have 6 people who
use our intranet. i only noticed in eventvwr that there was an error
relating to asp
2 now that you mention it i now get "page cant be displayed" for these
pages
3 we anted to have an internal intranet that will be used by people to do
proccesses like orders etc. I tried to add a new site to iis, on
192.168.1.102 this was my first time ive ever come across iis and did some
reading on it the site ive deployed is working perfectly however now ive
noticed that the company web not working at all nor is backup/restore, and
http://inov8server/clientconnect no longer works either
4 the error is :
Event Type: Error
Event Source: Active Server Pages
Event Category: None
Event ID: 5
Date: 04/08/2005
Time: 08:47:30

Pool 'DefaultAppPool' because of the following error: Could not create a Disk
Cache Sub-directory for the Application Pool. The data may have additional
error codes..
For more information, see Help and Support Center at
http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp.

5 nope no 3rd party software, i have automatic updates on so it should be
updated with the latest windows sp's whats SUS ?
ive checked the defualt app pool its selected on predinfed and network
serveice
ive read the the article and made the relevent changes none of these had
been done so this may be why
i also did a scan of the inetpud folder and deleted a zip folder i had left
in there
i hope this helps
