RE: No Incoming email, RWW or OWA after Install of ISA 2004 SP1 (S

Thanks for your reply Jerry

I ran out of puff (was up for 38 hours, came from another job) so went home
for sleep

Thanks for your comments on SQL and ISA updates during Premium SBS 2003 SP1
update. I was hoping that would be the case.

I have completed the steps you advised on setting back to default SBS
settings for ISA. Still no real change to OWA or RWW

What I have found is this...
Running CEICW and selecting "A direct broadband connection" in wizard will
kill external email coming into Exchange. Selecting "a local router device
with an IP address" enables incoming email from the internet. I kept using
direct broadband connection as that was what was recommended by the MS MVPs
etc in doco. I tried the local router device in the CEICW as last option and
started to receive email again from external recipients. Do you know why the
change in option caused this to happen??

I think it may be a DNS issue internall?

I keep getting this error when trying the SSL connection to
clientdomain\exchange

Error Code: 500 Internal Server Error. The network logon failed. (1790)

Further testing on site, I found that I can connect via local network to OMA
(still can't externally), but I cant connect to \exchange, \public or \remote
internally. Not even if I try to browse directly through the IIS manager
virtual sites

Get error "Cannot find server or DNS Error Internet Explorer "
But the local SBS server DNS seems fine, and there is no problems connecting
to netbios name of server for internal tsweb, OMA, Backup, connectcomputer
which all run under the Default website

Hope this helps clarification. I assume I need to get it working on local
network first before I can expect it to work externally.
