VPN Access

Hello all, need a little help. I have installed 2003 server, running as a
domain controller. Running well. However we have now installed VPN tunnels
controlled by routers at both ends to this network. The clients on both ends
are XP Pro SP2, the firewalls have been correctly configured. Only one end
has a domain the other end has peer to peer workgroup set up. All machines
respond to a ping by IP address but do not do so using machine name. When a
machine from the non-domain end of the tunnel attempts to view the machines
in net neighbourhood, the domain name is visible as a 'workgroup' but the
individual machines are not. Each router is set to NetBIOS broadcast. I need
to access the file shares on the 2003 server remotely and cannot do so in any
way. The problem lies with the set up of the 2003 server in some way as we
have other tunnels with peer to peer at both ends and the machines are all
visible in both directions. Thank you in advance
.
