I'd have to agree unless you've done this before.
I don't think this is something you should do.
As a real "Friend" you should have someone who knows the security issues.
Although SBS is easy to configure, it still takes knowledge to make sure
it's secure.
I'd recommend someone local to help him.
Get Three Estimates and ask a lot of questions.
Avoid the Consultants that keep saying, I can sell you this software through
me.
They are just trying to make a buck.
I let all my clients purchase from venders and make no mark up.
To me making someone secure and functional is more important that making a
buck.
I've even bought things out of my own pocket to help them out.
Please get someone who knows how to do this unsteady of wandering in the
dark
