RE: Remote Access problems

Hello:
Thanks for your reply! :)
Generally speaking, the remote and local networks are not allowed to have
the same subnet addressing. This will cause some problems. (e.g. The
traffic will be sent to the wrong gateway.)
Regarding the question in the reply, what you assume is correct. If we
disable using the remote gateway, internet traffic will go via the local
gateway other than the PPP gateway. In the 'route print' result, we will
see that only the traffic sent to the remote side will go through the VPN
gateway. If it doesn't exist such a static route, we need to manually add
one.
Hope this helps. I look forward to your update. If you encounter any
problems or concerns, please feel free to let me know, I am glad to be of
assistance.
Have a nice day! :)
Best Regards
Edward Tian(MSFT)

| The remote network may indeed have a similar IP scheme to the SBS
network, i
| will change that scheme now.
|
| As for using the local or remote default gateway, am i correct to assume
| that if i disable using the remote gateway, internet traffic will not go
| through the VPN?
|
| I will not be able to test again until monday, unfortuneately.
