Hello Alex,
Thank you for posting in the SBS newsgroup.
According to your description, I understand that the clients have Multiple
internal email addresses on the SBS 2003. If I have misunderstood your
concern, please don't hesitate to let me know.
To narrow down this issue, please answer and perform the following
questions and steps:
1. As you mentioned, you have re-installed the SBS 2003 Server, can I
assume you clean install the SBS 2003 Server at first, and then restore the
Server's state from the previous backup, and then connect the clients back
to the new Server?
2. Please help me re-confirm whether the multiple internal email
addresses are most like User@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx, User@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx If not,
please kindly describe the exact problematic condition.
3. Please refer to the below steps to check the configuration of the
recipient policies:
A. Start Exchange System Manger, expand Recipients.
B. Click Recipient Policies, on the right pane, by default, there is only
a item: Name-Default Policy, Priority-Lowest.
C. Right-click it and select Properties, click E-Mail Addresses (Policy)
tab, by default, there is three item under the Generation rules:
- SMTP @DomainName.com (Note: Set as Primary)
- smtp @DomainName.local
- X400 c=Country/Region;a= ;p=DomainName;o=Exchange;

4. As you mentioned, this issue occurs on all clients, please refer to
the below KB article to re-create a new profile in the Outlook 2003 and
then check if the issue can be re-produced.

5. Please kindly do a screen capture of this issue and attach it in your

I am appreciated your time and cooperation. If anything is unclear, please
feel free to let me know. I am looking forward to hearing from you.
Best regards,
