Re: there are no more endpoints available from the endpoint mapper

Thanks again for your reply.

We are using BCM to run a four person sales team at our company. Most of
that team has laptops, so it is really not feasible to run the shared
database on one of our computers, as any of us might be gone.

I had already seen that you could not install Outlook 2003, much less BCM,
on a SBS server (we call ours AUB04), but in my research could find no
prohibition against installing it on a secondary server running Windows
Server 2003 Standard Edition (we call this one AUB03).

The advantage of course is that AUB03 is UPS-protected, running on secure
hardware in our server closet, and is also a part of the server tape backup
system.

I simply installed one of our Outlook 2003 licenses on AUB03, and then
installed the BCM Update for Outlook 2003 on it. I had Outlook 2003 set up to
log in to the Exchange server under the domain's administrator account. I
created a new BCM database, and shared it with the appropriate sales team
users on the domain.

At that point, I installed BCM onto each of our notebooks and connected to
the database on AUB03. It worked beautifully for about a week.

At that point, due to an unrelated problem with AUB04 (OWA was corrupted and
we were advised to reinstall it), we had to wipe and reinstall the domain
controller (AUB04, the SBS server).

After adding AUB03 to the "new" domain, I could no longer share the database
because the error message said "you must be the creator of the database in
order to share it". I simply backed up the database, created a new one,
restored the backup into the new one (worked beautifully) and tried to share
the database again. That is when I got the endpoint mapper error.

I tried deleting both databases and creating a fresh new one, and not
restoring it yet. Also tried uninstalling BCM and reinstalling it. Also tried
recreating the MAPI profile on AUB03. In all cases, the endpoint mapper error
still existed.

So at this point, my BCM database is running on one person's laptop. The
entire team is down if that one person is gone. It's not a good solution but
is getting us through the day.

Hopefully we can figure out how to solve this endpoint mapping problem so I
can get back to work on this! :)

Thanks again for your help.
