Chack out 'Acronis True Image 8.0' from http://www.acronis.com/.
I have been checking it out for a while and like it very much. I think you
will find that this software will do what you want.
After you install it on a computer, you can create a boot CD. Then you can
use the boot CD to boot the other pc's and run the utility "outside" of the
installed OS; then create an image of the dirve(s). You can direct the
images to a directory on a external drive. Then store the boot CD and the
external drive in a safe place and "BAM" - poor man's bare metal full system
restore.
