Log on to the XP with the local admin account and check the Network ID under
the propery page of "My Computer". If it still shows that it's a member of
the domain, change is to a WorkGroup. Reboot the XP box.
On the server delete the computer from the AD, create a new account for the
computer and use \\sbsserver\connectcomputer from the XP Pro to join the
domain again.
Most likely the registry entries were messed up when you fixed the other
problem.
