Re: Setup Problem

You tried something similar? What do you mean by similar? You cannot
log into your workstation using your SBS credentials until you join
your workstation to the domain. Until then you are limited to the
accounts that are set up on the xp workstation.
And yes when you first install the os it asks you for the admin
password. When XP is finished installing, however, it defaults to that
welcome screen rather than use the ctrl alt dlt method of logging in,
and it will not "show" you the admin account on that screen. But the
username you provided during install and use to log into the xp box
(before you join the domain) does have admin rights on that computer by
default. You should be able to join the computer to the domain with
that account. When you join the pc to the sbs domain it will inherit
the security setting of that server which specifies (by default) that
it requires ctrl al dlt to login. At that point you will need to use
the an account of your domain to log into the domain from your
workstation.
Have fun, play safe.
