Re: companyweb virtual server error 404

Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry

Hi Mark Thanks for responding to my post.
I don't think I worded my post correctly. If you go to
Start>>Administrative tools>>Microsoft Sharepoint Administrator. That page
is called Server Administration and at the top has Frontpage Server
extensions 2003 also. That page is displayed correctly. On that page under
Virtual Servers there are 3 sites listed Default Web sit, SharePoint Central
Administration, and Companyweb. The first two site display correctly. for
Default web site, Front page server extensions 2002 Site Administration for
http://Servername
and for SharePoint Central Administration, FrontPage Server Extensions 2002
Site Administration for http://Servername:8081. Those two sites are fine,
its the following site Company web That you get page can't be displayed http
404 error. Like I said earlier everything else works RWW, OWA, I can create
sites, workspaces, document libraries, disscussions. So I think it is
something with comanyweb and or IIS.
I checked in control panel and add remove programs. There is nothing there
about Frontpage or even under program files, and I don't remember installing
that since it was back in August of last year.
thank for taking the time to reply to me and when I get home I will bang on
it some more and post what I find. Or if you have any other suggestions I
would appreciate that
Thanks
Norm
