Re: Configuring Full Text Search FOr SharePoint Web



I will keep this reply short but want to thank you Charles for your help and
encouragement in getting this resolved.

My SharePoint database had been upgraded to SQL and the data was being
stored there like I thought. After getting Indexing installed from the
Premium Technologies disk I was part of the way there but needed to
re-install SP4 for SQL2000. After doing that the Full-Text Catalogs were
showing in each of the SharePoint databases in Enterprise Manager. I enabled
the Full Text Search and Index again in SharePoint Central Administration
and the search engine began to work!
