No incoming SMTP or website

I setup SBS Standard behind a router. Users could send & receive SMTP email,
connect to the Internet and the SBS website. Next day users can only send
SMTP and the website is unavailable. Internet access still works though.

When I do "nslookup ls" it says cannot find server name & DNS request timed
out. I made no changes to the router, SBS or MX records although I tried (and
failed) to connect using VPN.

The router has a public IP address and NAT. SBS and clients use private IP.
I use the firewall on the router. It uses uPnP and port mappings seem
correct. Any ideas what happened and how I fix it? Thanks
.
