Access Denied message evenwhen loging in locallyafter joining a do

I work for a company with only 20 employees. Headquarters office in CA and a
branch in VA.

We used to have a peer to peet network with one Unix server that has our
main application for Accounting, Inventory, Billing, etc. That's the only use
of the Unix box. I suggested we get a Windows based serverto store all our
files and e-mails so we can backup from one place instead of doing it on each
workstation which is time consuming, also too many problems when trying to
share a folder over the network because of using different versions of
Windows (98, 2000 and XP)

There is also another Windows 2003 SBS server, but that's only for our phone
system which stores voicemail and controls the configuration of our phones,
which are all IP phones.

So, we have 2 Windows 2003 servers and a Unix server. I am really new to
Windows 2003 SBS, in fact I only dealt with peer to peer networks before, but
now I run into a problem I guess. So far, I have only joined 2 computers to
the domain and both are experiencing the same problem: I can see all the
computers in the netwok (peer-to-peer, domain-computers and servers), but
when I try to access a folder in the Unix server I get a message saying that
the access is denied. When I double-click the server I guet a dialog box to
enter the username and password, I enter the correct info, I am in, I can see
the share folders, but when I try to see what's in a folder by
double-clicking on it I get the Access Denied error message.

I try logging in to my computer locally and still can access the folders.
So, I try to do this from a computer what has never been in the domain and I
can do everything I want. What the hell? This is so weird! It seems that
after joining a domain something changes in the workstation permanently and
the Unix box does not let me access the folders, which I could access before
joining the domain.

Any ideas as to what could be causing this? I don't think the Unix box has
something to do with this, I hope not because I know nothing about Unix, lol.
