SBS2K VPN Problem

We recently started experiencing a problem with the Connector for POP3
Mailboxes where mail would be downloaded from the POP3 server but not
delivered to the Exchange Server recipients. This is detailed in Knowledge
Base article 303741, and the suggested solution is to download and install
SBS2K Service Pack 1a.
I installed the Service Pack last night and now it seems to have broken our
VPN connection. VPN clients can connect just fine but can't find network
resources by name, although they can connect by specifying an internal IP
address. So it sounds like some kind of DNS problem. I've searched MS's
Knowledge Base and looked through archived news group posts and am not
coming up with a solution.
Can anyone help?
