Re: Insufficient network Resources

Bill:
Actually we ARE copying close to 1million files at a time. Our business is
the conversion of check images stored on old-style Optical Platters to
magnetic that contain close to 54-100GB of data usually a lot of TIFF files.
The final step in the process is to copy the files to a USB Maxtor drive. A
typical customer has between 30-100 of these platters which are currently
stored on our RAID.

Our solution to date has been to write a custom app that reads the directory
structure and does open/read/write/close for each file in the directory.
Then checks for this error, exits the program, waits a while, and restarts
skipping the already copied files.

Anyway we already went throught the network cable, router and NIC diagnostics.

Interstingly no matter what method we use, Backup, Copy, Xcopy, our customer
program. Also whether running only one copy or or multiple copies on the
same machine or multiple machines the process copies about 300,000 files and
then produces this error in all instances on the client computers.

BTW: Thanks for your attention to this issue. It is core to our business.
