Adam,
I'm Confused?
Why are you Syncing Something that is already Synced?
(as you know Raid 1 drives are 100% mirrored with in milli seconds of each
other.)
If it wasn't syncing you'd get Drive Errors from the server.

I've never heard of doing this please let me know who recommends this?
