Hello Mark,
Thank you for posting in the SBS newsgroup.
According to your description, I understand that you cannot print to a
local printer in a remote web workplace session. If I have misunderstood
your concern, please don't hesitate to let me know.
Although there are issues that some printers do not work with remote
printing, we generally use the below steps to print the document in your
office to the local printer in your home through RWW.
First, you could make sure that the printer is in the Windows HCL list for
both your local and remote host computers. You could check the HCL at
http://www.microsoft.com/HCL
Please the following steps to install the local printer driver on the
remote computer. The printer is not required to be connected physically.
How to Add Printer Drivers
-----------------------------------------------------
1. on the remote computer, Click Start, and then click Printers and Faxes
2. On the File menu, click Server Properties, and then click the Drivers
tab.
3. Click Add, click Next, and then follow the instructions in the Add
Printer Driver wizard.
4. Finish the wizard to install the printer driver correctly
Then, after you enter the RWW site and please click connect to client
Desktop. In the next window, please click 'Optional settings' and put a
check mark at 'Enable documents on the remote computer to be printed on a
local printer' and click connected.
Here is more information about this issue. I want to introduce the
following utility to you.
Terminal Server Printer Driver Redirection Wizard v.1.0.80
This tool will examine a remote or local Terminal Server and determine
whether or not printer redirection has failed. For each printer driver that
failed redirection, the tool will prompt the user to select an installed
driver to create a new NTPrintSubs.inf file. This also integrates with a
new Windows Server 2003 SP1 Group Policy to address printer redirection
issues. This is an automation of the KB article 239088 entitled "Windows
2000 Terminal Services Server Logs Events 1111, 1105, and 1106".

Additionally, In the RDP session, all the redirected printers are using
printer port begins with TS00x, such as TS001 or TS002. Any client computer
attached LPT printer or Network printer are all redirected as TS00x port.
To get additional detailed information, you may refer to the following KB
