Re: VPN on Small Business Server 2k3

Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry

have you updated the firmware on the router?
is the IP address that you are connecting from in the same subnet as your local SBS network?

I'm having a fair bit of trouble setting up a VPN connection on SBS 2003.  I
can connect to the VPN, ping the server, even use Remote Desktop for
Administration over the VPN, but I am completely unable to view/map network
resources.  I get an error message stating that the network path cannot be
found.  I am also only able to connect to the VPN from one location, but at
this point I am far more concerned with accessing the network shares, as the
single remote location problem is possibly an ISP issue.

I have dupilcated all settings and configuration on another server (with
same setup), and it works perfectly.

The server is behind a D-Link broadband router (budget constraints), all the
ports necessary are configured.  Currently the connection is using PPTP.
Routing and Remote Access is enabled, and the remote access policies are
configured properly.  All the client machines in question are running Windows
XP Professional SP2.

Any Help would be greatly appreciated.
